REMCO TOOLS – WARRANTY POLICY

1. Introduction

This Warranty Policy (“Policy”) applies to new Products sold and shipped directly by Remco Tools LLC (“Remco Tools,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through our official online store or our authorized distributors/resellers. It explains the warranty coverage, claim procedures, and limitations.

• Out-of-Box Specials (OBS), Scratch-&-Dent, or Final Sale Items: Unless otherwise required by law, these items are sold “as is” with no warranty coverage beyond any applicable statutory minimum.
• Third-Party or Other Brands: This Policy does not cover products by other manufacturers, nor products sold by unauthorized dealers, resellers, or vendors.

Nothing in this Policy limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws (e.g., the two-year or longer legal guarantee for EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland/Norway consumers). Where local law offers a longer or more generous warranty, it prevails over any shorter period stated here.

2. Warranty Coverage

1. 5-Year Limited Warranty

   We warrant that Remco Tools-branded bicycle maintenance tools and related products (“Products”) will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”), unless a longer period is required by applicable law.

   This warranty applies only to new Products sold and shipped by Remco Tools or its authorized distributors/resellers. It does not cover used/refurbished, OBS, or scratch-&-dent Products, which are sold “as is.”

   Warranty is non-transferable and extends only to the original purchaser or gift recipient who can provide proof of purchase.

2. What Is Covered

   Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal, intended use (e.g., defective hinges, cracked metal under standard torque, faulty assembly out of the box).

   If only one component is affected, we reserve the right to replace or repair the defective part alone rather than the entire Product.

3. What Is Not Covered
   • Products Not From Remco Tools: Items manufactured by other brands or purchased from unauthorized resellers.
   • Out-of-Box (OBS) / Scratch-&-Dent / Final Sale Items: Sold “as is,” with no warranty coverage unless required by law.
   • Normal Wear & Tear: e.g., cosmetic scratches, routine dulling of edges, fading, or scuffs that do not affect functionality.
   • Misuse / Abuse / Modifications: Damage from mishandling, improper assembly or disassembly, overloading, environmental conditions (flood, fire, etc.), or unauthorized repairs.
   • Costs of Labor or Third-Party Repairs: We do not cover costs associated with external repairs, tune-ups, or modifications.
   • Minor Cosmetic Imperfections that do not inhibit product function.

3. Legal Warranty (EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland/Norway Consumers)

If you reside in the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, or Norway, you have statutory warranty rights under local consumer protection laws (generally at least two years from delivery). These rights apply in addition to any voluntary coverage offered by Remco Tools. Where your local law grants a longer or more comprehensive warranty period, that prevails over any shorter term stated in this Policy.

4. Making a Warranty Claim

1. Reporting a Defect

   Please contact us within 5 business days of discovering a suspected defect—especially if it appears upon delivery—by emailing warranty@remcotools.com or using our support form. Include proof of purchase (order number, receipt) plus pictures/videos of the issue.

   If your Product arrives visibly damaged from shipping, do not accept the package if possible, and please notify us immediately. If concealed damage is discovered after delivery, report it within 5 business days.

2. Inspection & Resolution

   We may ask you to return the affected Product or part for inspection. Please use a trackable shipping method and retain packaging until the claim is resolved.

   If a valid manufacturing defect is confirmed, we may, at our discretion:

   • Repair the defective part or
   • Send a replacement part or
   • Replace the entire Product if necessary or
   • Issue a refund if a suitable replacement is unavailable.
3. Shipping & Costs

   For an approved warranty claim, we typically cover reasonable shipping costs to return or replace the defective item. If we determine the issue is not covered (e.g., misuse, normal wear), you may be responsible for shipping and/or inspection costs.

5. Limitations & Disclaimers

1. Limited Remedy

   Your exclusive remedy under this Policy is limited to repairing or replacing defective parts, or providing a refund, at our discretion.

2. Non-Transferability & Authorized Purchases Only

   Coverage applies only to the original purchaser who bought directly from Remco Tools LLC or an authorized distributor/reseller, with valid proof of purchase. Resales through unauthorized channels do not qualify.

3. Disclaimer of Other Warranties

   Except where required by law, we disclaim all other warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. No Incidental or Consequential Damages

   In no event shall Remco Tools be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Product, including any associated repair/labor costs, except where prohibited by law.

   Our total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.

6. Governing Law & Disputes

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws specified in our Terms & Conditions. Any dispute arising out of or related to this Policy will follow the dispute resolution procedures stated in the Terms & Conditions.
